Some commonly used ingredients include olive oil, pitas, honey, sesame seeds, dates, sumac, chickpeas, mint and parsley. Some of the most popular dishes at Middle Eastern Restaurant NYC include shish kebab and shawarma.
Last weekdays while looking for a lavish Middle Eastern meal near Brooklyn, we found 1001 Nights Restaurant, nestled in the Neptune Avenue, NY. I liked everything at 1001 Nights Restaurant, which is one of the best Restaurants In Brooklyn NY. It was highly rated and since my family loves Middle Eastern food we drove to this friendly place. It is illuminated with soothing lights and mystical moments. We were warmly welcomed and the friendly Master Chef himself took pride in explaining the specialties of the enticing menu and rich flavors of Persia to us. The Chef is much sought after for his delicious blend of Uzbeki traditional, multi cultural dishes like grilled fish, delicious pilaf and shish kebabs.
It was a pleasant surprise to hear Persian music and Central Asian folktales in the background creating 14th Century Central Asian culture right here in the hustle and bustle of New York City. For the hookah lovers there are authentic hookahs lined up for sharing. Addition to the thrilling moments is the spirit of dancing and jingling, disclosed over the swaying hips of belly dancers, creating musical magic for one and all.
We started with Fresh assorted Greens and Hummus served with the assorted pickle plate “Tuzlama”. It’s full of pickled gherkins, tomatoes, chili peppers and Gurian cabbage offering wonderful pickle bliss. We ordered Fish Gizhduvan style, Lamb Shish Kebobs and Puffed Samsa with Meat, finishing off with green tea.
Generally, the food cooked at this restaurant in Brooklyn is not overpowered with spices. It is a combination of herbs, spices and sometimes fruits that are used for seasoning and garnishing, the flavors are fairly understated and delicate as in we found in the design patterns of a Persian carpet laid before us.
I have eaten Middle Eastern food at many places but the flavors in the food at 1001 Nights Restaurant was distinct and unique. This is amongst the best restaurants in New York City I found in terms of taste and ambiance.
We highly recommend the 1001 Nights restaurant in Brooklyn and assure you will not be disappointed.
